Parole Passeggere si compone di storie di passaggio: chiedevo al pubblico di sedersi e di scrivere narrazioni, pensieri, parole. In questa azione, le parole corrono sui tasti della macchina per scrivere, attraversano lo spazio bianco della pagina e raccontano memorie personali. Scrivere ha un tempo, un battito e un ritmo.
Le storie che ho raccolto sono appunto quelle dei passanti, invitati a sedersi su dei vecchi banchi di scuola e a scrivere, su delle vecchie Olivetti (nove per la precisione) narrazioni semplici, pensieri, parole passeggere.
Ho realizzato la performance nel porticato della Stazione Ostiense a Roma, luogo di transito per i pendolari della città, grazie alla collaborazione del MAXXI di Roma e in occasione del progetto “Il MAXXI esce dal MAXXI” per il Festival d’arte contemporanea “Inchiostro depARTure”. La performance è stata portata in giro per diversi luoghi e città in Italia, ha creato una sorta di mappatura e, tra nord e sud, ho raccolto più di 800 storie.

Parole Passeggere consists of stories in transit: I asked the public to sit down and write narratives, thoughts, words. In this action, the words run across the typewriter keys, travel across the blank space of the page, and tell personal memories. Writing has a time, a heartbeat, and a rhythm.
The stories I collected were those of passersby, invited to sit on old school desks and write, on old Olivetti typewriters (nine in total), simple narratives, thoughts, and passing words.
I carried out the performance in the portico of Ostiense Station in Rome, a transit spot for the city’s commuters, in collaboration with MAXXI Rome and as part of the project Il MAXXI esce dal MAXXI for the contemporary art festival Inchiostro depARTure. The performance traveled to various locations and cities across Italy, creating a sort of mapping, and between the north and south, I collected over 800 stories.
