Mi sono seccata

Mi sono seccata è una installazione nata durante la residenza a Montelupo Fiorentino in Toscana. Durante i primi giorni di workshop ho lavorato con i partecipanti sui concetti di relazione, contatto, spazio e reciprocità, con il corpo attraverso dei gesti relazionali. 

Gli stessi gesti sono stati messi in connessione con il territorio Montelupino, ed in particolare ho deciso di soffermarmi sulla Pesa, il fiume femmina che attraversa il paese, come presenza/assenza del paesaggio di questa terra. 

Ho cercato di esplorare, attraverso una camminata performativa sulla Pesa, quello che resta del passaggio dell’acqua che ora non c’è più: un’azione a cielo aperto, un segno di land art. Ne emerge una costellazione di segni, di reperti archeologici del suolo in cui il mio corpo si sostituisce all’acqua accarezzando ed appoggiandosi con il suo peso sulla Pesa: su pietre, legni, ciottoli, piante.

Mi sono seccata is an installation created during the residency in Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany. During the first days of the workshop, I worked with the participants on the concepts of relationship, contact, space, and reciprocity, using the body through relational gestures.
The same gestures were connected with the Montelupo territory, and in particular, I decided to focus on the Pesa, the “female river” that runs through the town, as the presence/absence of the landscape of this land.
I tried to explore, through a performative walk on the Pesa, what remains of the water’s passage that is no longer there: an outdoor action, a sign of land art. A constellation of marks emerges, archeological remains of the ground where my body replaces the water, caressing and resting its weight on the Pesa: on stones, wood, pebbles, and plants.
